I’m Meagan Cooke, a psychologist and the founder of Paisley Psychology. I started this practice with a clear purpose: to create a welcoming, down-to-earth space where people of all ages can feel truly seen, supported, and understood—whether they're navigating ADHD, anxiety, trauma, or simply going through a tough time.

Why I’m Passionate About ADHD
One of my biggest passions is supporting people with ADHD. This grew from a mix of professional training and lived experience, and it’s something I care about deeply. I know how much of a difference it can make when someone finally feels understood—when their brain starts to make sense to them and they can stop blaming themselves for things that were never their fault to begin with.
Whether I’m doing a full assessment or working one-on-one to build strategies and confidence, I always aim to bring warmth, empathy, and a strengths-based approach. ADHD presents differently for everyone, and I love helping people (and families) better understand their unique profile and how to thrive with it.
My Work With Anxiety and Trauma
I also specialise in working with anxiety and trauma—two areas that can be incredibly challenging, but also full of potential for growth. I’ve seen time and again how therapy can help people move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to feeling more grounded, hopeful, and in control.
My approach is always led by what feels safe and helpful for you. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can take a breath, be yourself, and explore what really matters—at your own pace.
Why I Started Paisley Psychology
Before starting Paisley Psychology, I ran a group practice in Sydney’s St George area. After having my three kids, I wanted to build something closer to home that aligned with both my professional values and my family life. Paisley Psychology grew from that intention—a practice grounded in connection and genuine care.
Clients often tell me they feel comfortable with me straight away. I think that’s because I try to show up in the room as a real person, not just a professional. I believe therapy works best when there’s honesty, curiosity, and a bit of shared humanity.
If you’re thinking about reaching out, I’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re looking for support for yourself, your child, or a loved one, you’re welcome here.
